We want you to build with confidence. If something isn't right, here's how returns work at Green Lane Supply.

Return window

You have 30 days from the delivery date to request a return. Requests made after 30 days can't be accepted.

Condition requirements

Returned items must be unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging with all hardware, instructions, and accessories included. Items that have been mounted, wired, powder-scratched, drilled, or otherwise installed or modified can't be returned. Gear that ships to you in a protective outer box should be returned in that box — please don't apply shipping labels or tape directly to the product's retail packaging.

How to start a return

Email brad@greenlanesupply.com with your order number and the item you'd like to return. We'll issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return instructions. Returns sent without an RMA can't be processed or refunded. Because many of our products ship directly from manufacturer and distributor warehouses, your return may need to go to a specific facility — the RMA will tell you where.

Return shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is the result of our error or a defective/damaged product (see below). We recommend a trackable, insured service — you're responsible for the item until it's received and inspected.

Restocking fee

Most returns are refunded in full. A 15% restocking fee applies to the following categories, which are costly to receive, inspect, and repackage: awnings, roof racks and load bars, armor and bumpers, and electrical/power products. The restocking fee is deducted from your refund and covers distributor return handling.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected (typically within 5–7 business days of arrival), we'll email you the outcome. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method, less any restocking fee and the original outbound shipping cost, which is non-refundable except where required by law. It may take an additional few business days for your bank to post the credit.

Damaged, defective, or incorrect items

Inspect your order on arrival. If an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the product and packaging. We'll cover return shipping and send a replacement or full refund at no cost to you, and no restocking fee applies. For freight (LTL) deliveries, note any visible damage on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing — this protects your claim.

Non-returnable items

For safety and warranty reasons, we can't accept returns on: items that have been installed, wired, or used; electrical/power products whose sealed packaging has been opened (except when defective); special-order or custom-configured items; and clearance/final-sale items marked as such.

Order cancellations

Because orders often route to distributor warehouses for same-day fulfillment, we can only cancel an order before it ships. Email us as soon as possible. Once an order has shipped, it falls under the return process above.

Manufacturer warranties

Many products carry a manufacturer's warranty that covers defects beyond our return window. If a warranty issue comes up, contact us and we'll help you work with the manufacturer.
